Magic Matariki Art

Kia Ora Bloggers,

As you may know Matariki is almost here which represents Maori new year. Matariki is on the 20th of June this year. Since Matariki is so close we have been working on making some art. To make this art we started by drawing a plan on a piece of A4 paper we actually had to draw our plan the opposite way around because at the end when we print it it would come out the right way. After we had done that we would get that checked by a teacher and grab a piece of A4 foam. we would copy our design onto the piece of foam in order to see our design with the print at the end we had to draw on the foam with a pen and push a little hard so that it would make a dent. After that we would put different colour print (print is like paint) and we would roll that print on with a paint roller. Once we had done that we would grab a piece of A3 paper a press the foam onto that. We had to then let our piece of A3 paper dry for about a week.  Now today we had to cut out a square that would fit our art around it. This is my finished product and it took around three weeks to finish. I hope you have had a good time looking at my art. If you have any questions about my art please ask me in the comments. What are you planning on doing for Matariki. Byee
