SUPER STEAM!

Kia Ora Bloggers, Since today is wednesday and we have tech in the afternoon we did some Steam Steam stands for science, technology, engineering, arts and maths and today we had to make a little table that would hold at least one text book. We had to get into a group of 5 and plan out our design. We could only use 10 pieces of newspaper and 1 metre of tape. Our group were going to roll up 6 pieces of the newspaper and then tape them to another piece of newpaper. and then put the rest of the newspaper on top of the legs. but that didnt really go to plan because we ran out of tape. We were already up the front to present so we had to think of something new quickly. We grabed to of the legs and put then inside of eachother. That worked! we managed to get 1 book on. Bye Bloggers

Maths Baking

Hey Bloggers, How are you? On Tuesday me and 4 of my friends baked for maths. We baked Rice Crispy Treats we started by getting some butter and putting it into a hot pot. Then we melted some marshmellows in that pot. Once they were melted we added in rice bubble cerial. After all of that was mixed in we transfered the rice crispy into a bowl and added food dye. the food Dye didnt work very well. So we used the rice crispy that didnt have food dye. We shaped the rice crispy into little balls and then placed them into a tray. We let them cool down while we cleaned up. Then we tryed them but they werent very good. Have you ever made rice crispy treats? Bye Bloggers!

Magic Matariki Art

Kia Ora Bloggers,

As you may know Matariki is almost here which represents Maori new year. Matariki is on the 20th of June this year. Since Matariki is so close we have been working on making some art. To make this art we started by drawing a plan on a piece of A4 paper we actually had to draw our plan the opposite way around because at the end when we print it it would come out the right way. After we had done that we would get that checked by a teacher and grab a piece of A4 foam. we would copy our design onto the piece of foam in order to see our design with the print at the end we had to draw on the foam with a pen and push a little hard so that it would make a dent. After that we would put different colour print (print is like paint) and we would roll that print on with a paint roller. Once we had done that we would grab a piece of A3 paper a press the foam onto that. We had to then let our piece of A3 paper dry for about a week.  Now today we had to cut out a square that would fit our art around it. This is my finished product and it took around three weeks to finish. I hope you have had a good time looking at my art. If you have any questions about my art please ask me in the comments. What are you planning on doing for Matariki. Byee
